Bachelor of Science (Environmental Geoinformatics)

   A comprehensive degree focuses on modern engineering knowledge in the field of Geo-Informatics, Remote Sensing, Geographic Information System (GIS) and Global Positioning System (GPS), and their applications. The graduated students, in this inclusive program, are developed essential skill in analysing remote sensing data such as satellite data, satellite images data, aerial photographs, specialising in Geographic Information System, Spatial Information System, Database System, Areas Modeling and applying those technologies in many areas of development.
   This program prides itself with many Geo-Informatics specialists including in-house lecturers and special lecturers from internationally known institutes. The strong research collaborations are established with many research and academic institutes such as Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA (Under NASA, NOAA and National Research Council of Thailand funds), Department of Meteorological, Department of Marine and Coastal Resources (Phuket Marine Biological Center: PMBC) and Andaman Environment and Natural Disaster Research Center (ANED).
   This program is designed for those students who want to gain knowledge and a thorough understanding of the analysis data related with satellite images and spatial data.More details

Bachelor of Science (Environmental Technology and Management)

   This degree combines a strong scientific education with multidisciplinary studies in environmental and Information Technology, with aspects of sustained environmental and natural resources management. It introduces environmental issues, provides knowledge of the science and information technology associated with environmental science and its applications and explores relevant legal, political, ethical and economic aspects.
   The study program trains you in environmental, Information Technology and management, giving you a solid grounding in one specialist area and an introduction to others in terms of environmental problem solving and management. It also provides a brief introduction to relevant aspects of social science to raise awareness of the need to take into account such things as economics, politics, the law, and people’s perceptions and desires in tackling environmental issues in the real world.
   This degree aim to train graduated students who have a strong knowledge and professional expert in integrating and apply a variety of technologies-such as Information Technology, Nanotechnology, Environmental Technology and Space Technology-in environmental management field. This course provides candidates with a thorough grounding in preventing, mitigating and solving complex environment related issues, in order to maintain most efficient and sustainable natural resources.

Graduate programs
Master of Science (Technology and Environmental Management)

   This program focuses on holistic knowledge and skills for developing and applying geoinformatics technology for the integrated management of natural resources, environment and disaster. Its ultimate goal is to support sustainable development of Andaman coast. Th! is is achieved through academic collaborations with various institutes such as Thai Meteorological Department, Phuket Marine Biological Center, and University of Queensland.
   The 2-year program is offered in 2 enrollment types. The first type called A1 focuses on research only (36 credit units) although students can take extra courses which will not be counted as part of graduation requirement. The second enrollment is A2 which requires equal credit units of coursework (18 credit units) and research (18 credit units) to be taken to satisfy program requirement. Both enrollment types offers 2 subject specialisations:
1.Natural Resources and Environmental Management. Students can select courses in environmental quality management, coastal resources and management or sustainable tourism.
